What Is a TRAC Lease?
The standard commercial fleet lease — explained in plain English.
A TRAC lease — Terminal Rental Adjustment Clause — is the standard structure for commercial fleet leasing. Monthly payments run lower than a comparable retail lease, and the term ends with options instead of a forced return: on qualifying programs, a $1 buyout puts the truck in your fleet for good. And unlike consumer leases, our TRAC leases carry unlimited mileage — work trucks get driven like work trucks.
TRAC Lease
48- or 60-month terms with unlimited mileage and $1 buyout options on qualifying programs. Lower monthly cost while the truck earns its keep. Most-leased: F-150, Super Duty, and Transit.
Commercial Lease
When TRAC isn't the right fit, we structure the lease around the work — high-mileage routes, seasonal cycles, or a set replacement schedule. Common on service body trucks and route vans.
Lease It or Own It
On any lease, the lessor holds title during the term. Buy or finance and the title is in your name from day one. We quote both — the choice stays yours.
The Fleet Desk Behind the Lease
The same desk that prices government and trade fleets prices your lease.
Envision Motors Fleet supplies 100+ SoCal trade contractors and 30+ California government agencies, including a 200+ unit program for the LA County Sheriff's Department. We move 30,000+ vehicles a year — and we will still happily quote one truck.
Side by Side — a Fleet Management Lease vs. Leasing With Us
Every row describes how a typical fleet-management lease is structured — confirm your own terms with your lessor.
| Lease feature | A fleet management lease | Envision Motors Fleet |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly management fee | ✗Per vehicle, every month | ✓None — we're the dealer, not a fleet-management company |
| Mileage | ✗Miles set your end-of-term bill | ✓Unlimited, no penalty |
| End of term | ✗Book-value settle-up | ✓$1 buyout on qualifying programs |
| Buy it outright | ✗Not the model | ✓Cash or finance, any time |
| Your existing fleet | ✗Remarketed for a fee | ✓We buy it outright |
Comparison describes general open-end commercial fleet lease structures, not the terms of any particular provider or agreement; confirm your own terms with your lessor. Ownership and leasing are treated differently for tax purposes — consult your tax advisor. Lease programs, buyout options, and availability are subject to credit approval and confirmed at quote.

Lease or Buy? A Structural Answer
A cash-flow, mileage, and replacement-cycle question.
Leasing tends to fit when…
You want working capital in the business, not parked in the yard — a lease finances the use of the truck, not the whole truck. You replace units on a set cycle and want the next truck priced before the old one is tired. Your routes pile on miles — our TRAC terms carry unlimited mileage, so the odometer never writes the end-of-term bill.
Buying tends to fit when…
You run trucks to the end of their working life — eight, ten years and the miles in between. The upfit is the business — crane bodies and custom shelving with years of service left after any lease term ends. And buying puts title in your name from day one, with equity you can trade or sell whenever the fleet plan changes.
We quote both, so the choice stays yours. Ownership and leasing are treated differently for tax purposes — consult your tax advisor.

Fleet Leasing FAQ
Terms, mileage, buyouts, credit, and servicing — answered straight.
What is a TRAC lease?
TRAC stands for Terminal Rental Adjustment Clause — the standard structure for commercial fleet leases. Ours run 48 or 60 months with unlimited mileage and $1 buyout options on qualifying programs. Lease programs are subject to credit approval and confirmed at quote.
What lease terms do you offer?
TRAC leases run 48 or 60 months with unlimited mileage. Commercial leases are structured to the work — high-mileage routes, seasonal cycles, or a set replacement schedule. All programs are subject to credit approval and confirmed at quote.
Is there a mileage limit on your fleet leases?
No. TRAC leases carry unlimited mileage, so high-mileage work fleets are not penalized at the end of the term.
What happens at the end of the lease?
End-of-term options are set at quote, and qualifying programs carry a $1 buyout option — the truck stays in your fleet.
What about my current fleet?
We buy existing fleet vehicles outright — trade, wholesale, or auction — and the equity goes back to you. No purchase necessary.
Is leasing better than buying for taxes?
Ownership and leasing are treated differently for tax purposes, and the right answer depends on your business — consult your tax advisor. We structure both, so the choice stays yours.
Is there a minimum number of vehicles to lease?
No — there is no minimum to get a quote or to lease. Fleet lease programs have their own qualification thresholds, but plenty of our commercial customers started with one truck and grew from there.
How does credit approval work?
Every lease program is subject to credit approval, and terms — including buyout options — are confirmed at quote. Send what you're pricing and a fleet specialist comes back with numbers in one business day, no obligation.
Who services the trucks during the lease?
Service runs through our own Ford-authorized service center, and we service Ford fleets we didn't sell — leased units are welcome, with priority scheduling for fleet vehicles. Maintenance is not bundled into the lease payment; service and maintenance programs are quoted separately. See our warranty and service plans.
